Science Town invites everyone, big and small, to the University of Tartu on Toome Hill to get acquainted with the accomplishments of Estonian science and research.

Science Town is one of the encampments found at the Tartu Hanseatic Days where visitors of all ages can freely and independently study, discover, do handicrafts and enjoy playful activities. The Crazy Scientist is also there to perform his experiments!

The events of Science Town take place around two buildings that hold symbolic value in the Tartu cityscape: the medieval Cathedral and the Old Observatory, which is an UNESCO World Heritage site. During the Hanseatic Days, Science Town events are organized by the University of Tartu Museum.

Science Town is open during the weekend of Hanseatic Days—Sat. 11–18, Sun. 11–16 and most of the activities at Science Town are free of charge for participants.
