SCIENCE TOWN 2019

Science Town takes place around two significant building in Tartu on 20 and 21 July which both belong to UNESCO World Heritage List – medieval cathedral and Old Observatory.
The aim of the Science Town, which has become an important part of Tartu Hanseatic Days, is to offer various activities to the citizens and visitors of Tartu: with presentations, workshops, tours and experiments the scientific world becomes more comprehensible and fun.

VABADUSE AVENUE & STAGE:

10:00-11:30Hanseatic Retro Ride, a vintage vehicle parade from Tartu Festival Arena via the Estonian National Museum to Vabaduse Avenue
11:30-11:40Opening of the 2019 Tartu Hanseatic Days, welcome address by Mayor of Tartu Urmas Klaas
11:30-19:00Exhibition of vintage vehicles of Hanseatic Retro Ride
11:40-12:15Tartu Brass Band
12:00-17:00River trams on the Emajõgi. Departures for ca 45-minute trips on the hour: Jõmmu, Turm and Signild from Sisevete Saatkond, Pegasus from in front of the Dorpat Hotel, M/S Alfa from the quay of Tartu Market Hall.
