Europeade, starting July 20, and Tartu Hanseatic Days from July 22, will bring about some changes in the city centre’s traffic. The temporary rearrangements will concern the following streets: Jaani, Lai, Lossi, Lutsu, Poe, Vabaduse and Ülikooli. In addition, the upper and lower Vanemuine parking lots and the indoor market’s and Vabaduse parking lots will be affected.
The following streets will be closed* for motor vehicle traffic and parking:
- Poe ……….............……………… Thursday, 21.07.2011, 8.00 to Monday, 25.07.2011, 6.00
- Ülikooli, Lossi, Jaani, Munga ….... Friday, 22.07.2011, 6.00 to Sunday, 24.07.2011, 18.00
*Entry to areas closed for traffic will be allowed for local dwellers and service transport.
For passenger buses, parking will be arranged along Vabaduse Avenue (car parking will be prohibited there):

The indoor market’s parking lot, Vabaduse Avenue parking lot and upper Vanemuine parking lot can be used with special permits:

Due to traffic restrictions on Poe Street, driving to the Town Hall Square for servicing the establishments there shall be done through Kompanii Street.
The Vabaduse Avenue taxi stop on the edge of the Town Hall Square will temporarily be marked on the other side of the street on the first parking spaces from the arch bridge.
On the part of Vabaduse Avenue that will stay open for traffic – between Town Hall Square and Uueturu Street – speed will be restricted to 30 km/h and a warning on possible pedestrians on the road will be installed.(.pdf 0,2Mb).
